Job Growth in Whatcom/Skagit County
According to the 2024-2028 Northwest Workforce Council’s regional workforce plan “health and allied services, retail trade, accommodation and food services, manufacturing and construction are the top five employment sectors in the Northwest, WDA JobsEQ (2024).” Of those sectors “healthcare, manufacturing and construction are high demand – high wage sectors.” Linked below you will find charts from this report that help illustrate these trends along with data on required education for entering those sectors.
